DA BEARS, ALL DA TIME!

THE LOCKOUT IS OVER (Addendum)

In Bears news that we missed; I ALMOST forgot one other bit of important news: CB-turned-S-turned CB-turned-S Danieal Manning rejected the Bears’ contract proposal. The rumored offer was 3 years/ $6 million/ $2 million guaranteed. Now, there are two things I have to comment about:

a) who TURNS DOWN $2 MILLION DOLLARS, in the face of being an unrestricted Free Agent during a lockout?

b) has Danieal Manning watched himself the last four years? If you are a starting NFL safety, and 8 or 9 of your top-10 plays are KICK RETURNS, you should take what you can get.

Manning needs to understand that a) he probably would not start at safety for 29 or 30 of the other 31 teams in the NFL, and b) he will not get paid more than $2 million per year to be a kick returner.

Thanks for this, i am glad i’m not the only person who saw this. He was the one getting burned and was in the wrong positions all the time. since the new kick return rule hes pretty much useless, Glad he turned it down, was a dumb offer from us anyway.

    • No problem bro. I was always kinda biased against Manning, because he kinda ushered in the end of the Mike Brown Era—but i do understand that Mike couldnt stay on the field and the bears had to do something.
Manning is the ULTIMATE example of the fact that just because you can run like the wind, jump out of the gym; bench press a house—doesnt mean you can play football.
Give me the slower, smaller, weaker guy with the football instincts any day.

Manning feels he can get more money. He is clearly out of his mind, but if someone wants to over pay him and they can have him.

As for harris good riddance. he should have been released 2 years ago and the only reason that he wasnt was strictly because of money
